Privacy Notice

This notice explains the main categories of information VYBE uses to operate the service, support member safety and process payments.

1. Information you provide

When you create and use a VYBE account, information may include your email address, password hash, profile display name, profile photo, bio, city/town/approximate area, gender, who you are looking for, dating intention, likes, matches, messages, reports and blocks.

Your profile location should be approximate. Do not enter your home address or exact coordinates.

2. Account and activity information

VYBE records information needed to operate accounts and features, including account status, last-seen activity, credit balance entries, matches, message timestamps and safety actions. Session cookies are used to keep signed-in members authenticated.

3. 18+ and terms confirmation

When you register, VYBE may record the time you confirmed that you are 18 or older and the time you accepted the Terms. These records support account administration and enforcement of the service rules.

4. Payments and credit-card verification

Stripe processes card verification and payment checkout. VYBE may receive identifiers and status information needed to know whether verification succeeded, whether the card funding type is accepted, whether a payment completed, and how many credits should be added. VYBE does not directly store full payment-card details.

Credit-card verification is a protected-feature access signal and is not proof of age or identity.

5. How information is used

to create and secure accounts;
to display member-created profiles and rank Discover results;
to process likes, mutual matches and messages;
to operate message credits and purchases;
to prevent abuse, investigate reports and enforce blocks;
to maintain security, diagnose faults and protect the service.

6. Who information is shared with

Information may be shared with service providers where needed to run VYBE, such as payment processing and hosting/database infrastructure. Member profile information is displayed to other members as part of the dating service. Messages are shared with the matched recipient.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or others from serious harm, fraud or abuse.

7. Profile visibility and safety

Member profiles can be shown in Discover when visible and active. Blocking prevents further contact through the relevant account relationship. Reports are stored for review and safety administration.

8. Retention

VYBE should retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including operating accounts, handling transactions, resolving disputes, security, abuse prevention and legal obligations. Different records may require different retention periods.

9. Your choices and rights

You can edit profile information from the member experience and stop using VYBE at any time. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of personal information. These rights may have legal exceptions.

10. Security

VYBE uses technical and organisational measures including password hashing, secure session cookies in production, rate limiting, restricted origins for state-changing requests and payment-provider verification. No online system can promise absolute security.

11. Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated as the service changes. The revision date at the top shows the current published version.
